Louisa graduated from the University of Malta in November 2016 as Doctor of Laws (LL.D) after submitting her thesis on "The Legal Impact of the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) Rules on the Shipping Industry." She was admitted to the Bar in Valletta in 2017.
In 2017, Louisa went on to read for a Masters specialising in Maritime Law at University College London where she graduated with a distinction in 2018. Her dissertation for her LL.M was a study on “The Potential Legal Impacts of Smart Contracts and Distributed Ledger Technology on Marine Insurance”.
Louisa also studied at Roma Tre in Italy between September 2015 and January 2016 on an Erasmus Student Exchange Programme.
In her free time, Louisa enjoys baking, reading and travelling.
