Marcus joined the firm as a Legal Trainee within the litigation department in the beginning of 2022, shortly afterwards being admitted to the Maltese Bar. He graduated from the University of Malta in 2020 as a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) after submitting his dissertation titled ‘Appointment, Discipline and Removal of Members of the Judiciary – A Comparative Analysis’ in which Malta’s mechanisms are compared with those of Italy. By presenting the reader with a comprehensive approach towards the relevant procedures in both jurisdictions, his dissertation is followed by a comparative analysis providing for an account on the strengths and weaknesses of both systems, making reference to several international instruments in his amendment recommendations. Subsequently, he also graduated with a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta in 2021.

Marcus also studied at Jagiellonian University in Poland between September 2019 and February 2020 on an Erasmus Student Exchange Programme, taking up several electives in criminal, monetary as well as EU law.

During his time at university, Marcus was involved in the law student organisation ELSA Malta, after having been elected to the role of Vice President for the Student Trainee Exchange Programme.

Marcus is fluent in English and Maltese and in his free time enjoys travelling and reading. He is also very passionate about history, music and the film industry.
