Identity Malta has launched the ‘Key Employee Initiative’ in terms of which highly-specialized third country nationals moving to Malta for purposes of taking up employment locally in managerial or highly-technical posts can submit their applications for Malta residence. 

Eligible applicants have to satisfy specific criteria and whilst benefitting from an expedited processes would on successful completion of all the criteria, receive a work/residence permit within five working days from the date of submission of the application.
